Welcome!

Greeting and salutations!

Welcome to Warren East High's JROTC blog. Not only is Warren East home of the Raiders, but it's also the home of the Air Force Junior ROTC program with its 100+ cadets under the supervision of Chief Master Sergeant Bruno and Lieutenant Colonel Alcott.

AFJROTC isn't your regular club or group. Within the program, Chief Bruno and Colonel Alcott teach many things that help shape young men and women grow to become better civilians to the community around them. In Unit KY-961, being in JROTC isn't a recruiting mechanism. It help open a gateway to a wide spectrum of pathways to go down especially if one finds that military may or may not be for them.

Here with the Raider cadets, there is never a dull moment. Activities are performed and lessons are taught everyday from simple study sessions about serious topics in today's society to physical training to special events such as parades, ceremonies, and competitions. After cadets have given their all and performed well, they are rewarded with after-school parties and celebrations; and at the end of the year, cadets have the privilege to attend the annual Military Ball hosted by a different school in the district every year.

Everyone within the Corps is always welcoming and encouraging more students and parents to get more involved, so why not get in touch with us? We appreciate the support and look forward to gaining more as time goes on!
